We hope you find the answer to your question below, if you don't then please get in touch and we will try our best to help.
How do I place an order?
The quickest way to place an order is online. Just pick the cupcakes and quantity you want, upload any image if required, pick a delivery date and we will do the rest. If you have any questions you can get in touch and we will do our best to help.
If you are looking for a larger order then please give us a ring or use the contact form to let us know. We are happy to provide special options such as bulk orders, bespoke packaging, buttercream topped cupcakes, coloured icing finishes and special delivery requirements.
How are your cakes made?
We are passionate about good cakes here at Print Cakes which is why we bake all our cakes on site, from scratch, using real ingredients you would find in any good baker's kitchen like Madagascan vanilla, free range eggs and creamy butter.
Do you offer cupcakes for dietary requirements?
Our cupcakes are not made using any nuts, but there are nuts on the premises so we cannot guarantee they are 100% nut free. We can offer cupcakes made using gluten free ingredients, but again as the bakery is not gluten free we cannot guarantee there will be no cross contamination. Please get in touch if you require any more information or to enquire about any allergies.
What are your cakes topped with?
We top our flat iced cakes with a delicious vanilla icing which stays soft to the bite to give a lovely texture to the cupcakes. Our piped cupcakes have a real butter vanilla buttercream swirl hand piped on top.
The cupcakes are then topped with an image printed using special edible inks onto an icing disc.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver across the UK. Our cupcakes are sent on a next day delivery with trusted couriers, so they arrive to you as fresh as possible. Extra large orders will be hand delivered by ourselves and can be arranged for specific delivery times, please get in touch more information on this.
Can you deliver my order to a different address?
Please just make a separate order for each delivery address or if you are a corporate client looking for a larger quantity of multiple deliveries contact us and we can arrange this for you.
What are your lead times?
We require 3 days to process your order, get it baked and sent out to you, so you will see the first three days greyed out on the delivery date calendar. In special circumstances we can accommodate last minute orders, please get in touch if you need more information.
When will I receive my order?
Our deliveries are made from Tuesday to Saturday and we are unable to deliver on Sundays, Bank Holidays or the next working day following a Bank Holiday.
If you select a delivery date at the checkout, then we will send out your order for next day delivery for that date. You will receive a tracking number so you can keep up to date with your delivery’s progress. The courier will send you a window of time to expect the delivery, please let them know if you or your recipient are not going to be in to receive your order so you can make alternative arrangements with the courier.
Can I send the cupcakes as a surprise gift?
Yes you can, you can enter your recipient's delivery details at checkout. Please keep in mind that the person you are surprising may not be at home at the time of the delivery. We can advise the courier to leave the cupcakes in a safe place or with a neighbour, please let us know if you would like us to do this by adding a note at checkout.
If no alternative location can be found, the driver will post a card through the door advising that the parcel has been returned to the delivery depot with instructions for re-delivery or collection.
Please note that we cannot take responsibility for parcels left if the recipient is not home at the time of delivery, or for parcels returned to the depot. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further information.
Where will my gift message be written?
You can add a gift message to your order at checkout. We will include this on a card which will be placed on top of the cupcakes in the box.
How are the cupcakes packaged?
The cupcakes will arrive in a white corrugated card box with packing tape around the outside to seal it. Inside will be your delicious cupcakes safely sat in a sealed tray wrapped in bubble wrap. If you are wanting to present your cupcakes as a gift in person, you may want to add one of our presentation boxes to your order. Cupcake boxes are also widely available from supermarkets and cake suppliers.
We can also supply single cupcake pods or boxes of 6 and 12 for you to package up the cupcakes at your end. This can work well for larger corporate orders or events where you will be handing our cupcakes for people to take away. Please get in touch for more information on these bespoke options.
How long will they be fresh for?
The cupcakes will be fresh for a minimum of 5 days but typically keep for longer. They are best kept at room temperature, please do not refrigerate as this can dry cakes out. Please take the cupcakes out of the packaging as soon as you receive them to let them breathe.
What can I add to my cupcakes?
You can add messages, photos and images to your cupcakes. Just select one of our personalised cupcake options from the menu at the top. Some of our occasions cupcakes can also be personalised with names and numbers, take a look here.
What should I think about when choosing an image for my cupcakes?
Try to make sure the image or photo is of good quality, 150dpi is sufficient if you are scanning it in. If it prints well on paper it should print well on our cupcakes. The image discs are 2” in diameter and your image will be printed to this size. If you send a square or rectangle image then we will crop the image to fit the circle shaped topper, please be aware the corners of your photo will be lost when we zoom in to do this.
We can only print personal, copyright-free images, or images that you have permission to reproduce. By placing an order with us you warrant that any images you ask us to print do not contain anything which would infringe any copyright or trade mark.
What format should my image be?
We can accept jpgs and png files uploaded online, if you’re having any trouble please get in touch. If you are a corporate customer with artwork in a different format (.eps or .pdf for example) then please get in touch and we will be able to accept these too.
